Academy of Chocolate Conference

The Academy of Chocolate is holding it’s first conference just ahead of Chocolate Week on 8th October. The one day event is aimed at people who are already in the chocolate industry, those who are planning on starting a chocolate business and interested amateurs.

Speakers at the conference include the most knowledgeable and successful people in the business such as Craig Sams, founder of Green & Blacks, Angus Thirlwell, director of Hotel Chocolat, Chantal Coady of Rococo, Keith Hurdman of Thorntons, Tony Lass MBE, former head of research on cocoa for Cadbury’s, Sophi Tranchell of Divine, William Curley, Paul a Young and Anne Weyns of Artisan du Chocolat.

Talks at the conference will range from how chocolate is made, cacao genetics and sustainability to cacao as a commodity, the chocolate industry around the World and the future of the industry. There will be tutored and informal chocolate tastings, seminars on creating flavour combinations, and much more.
