Hotel Chocolat open new store at Westfield Stratford

Hotel Chocolat have opened a new store at Westfield Stratford, the largest shopping centre in Europe. Here at Chocolate Week we can’t quite comprehend the size of a shopping centre with 70 restaurants but will definitely be popping down there to check out Hotel Chocolat and the shoe shops.

The new store is a departure from their usual store concept featuring a weathered style inspired by the company’s own Rabot Estate plantation on St Lucia. Guests will also be able to pull up a stool at the new Tasting Bar and enjoy a self-guided tasting of interesting grades of chocolate with expert tasting notes.

Angus Thirlwell, CEO of Hotel Chocolat says “We are delighted to be opening this new store in The Great Eastern Market as it gives us the chance to bring a little of our Rabot Estate cocoa plantation to East London.  I’m particularly excited about the Tasting Bar, which will open up chocolate tasting to a much wider audience and further help in our ambition to demystify and democratise the whole area of tasting fine chocolate.”
