Patisserie Vercruysse

Friday 29th July

Chocolate Week met with chocolatier Geert Vercruysse this week. Geert’s chocolaterie is based in Kortrijk in Belgium.
Take a look at his website.
He’s known as one of Belgium’s best chocolatiers and is now building a great reputation outside his home country. Chocolate Reviews started the awareness here in the UK with his extremely complimentary
review
in December of last year and this week Geert has just started supplying La Fromagerie just off Marylebone High Street.

Geert is incredibly passionate about chocolate and the time flew by chatting about the chocolate world. Geert is extremely keen on discovering artisan chocolate makers around the world and supports their work by creating his chocolates from their couverture. Geert believes in using a different courverture depending on the flavours of the chocolate he’s creating and uses producers such as Madre Chocolate in Hawaii and Adi Chocolate in Fiji.

Geert and Original Beans are working on a collaboration, the fruits of which you’ll be able to taste at
Chocolate Unwrapped
on the Original Beans stand. In the mean time I urge you to visit La Fromagerie to taste Patisserie Vercruysse chocolates - they’re wonderful.
